DrugFreeAZKids.org invites parents, caregivers, teachers and community members to participate in an upcoming free webinar on synthetic drugs taking place on Wednesday, Jan. 14 from noon to 12:30 p.m.

With all the variations, synthetic drugs can be a scary topic for many parents. But the good news is, according to the 2014 Arizona Youth Survey, lifetime synthetic drug use was reported by 4.3 percent of youth and past 30-day synthetic drug use was reported by 0.87 percent of youth. This shows a decrease from 2012, when lifetime synthetic drug use was 10.63 percent and past 30-day use was 4.67 percent.

Though we have made so much progress in driving down youth drug use in the past decade, any substance use by our children is unacceptable. This is why it is important to register for this webinar, so you can learn about the trends associated with synthetic drugs, as well as what you can do to keep your kids safe.

DrugFreeAZKids.org’s mission is to prevent and reduce youth drug and alcohol use through community education and awareness by providing parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, educators and others with educational tools, information and resources.
