Active Parenting Workshops

Active Parenting is an evidence-based program that combines video, activities and discussion to help parents protect and prepare their kids to survive and thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech, diverse, democratic society. The program demonstrates non-violent discipline techniques that teach responsibility and strategies to improve communication, cooperation, and raise healthy drug-free kids
 
 
Age Target: Parents of kids ages 5–12
Duration: Six 2-hour sessions
Parents and caregivers will learn:
  • Active parenting skills
  • Winning cooperation
  • Responsibility & discipline
  • Understanding & redirecting misbehavior
  • Building courage, character & self-esteem
Age Target: Parents of kids ages 12–18 
Duration: Six 2-hour sessions
Parents and caregivers will learn:
  • The Active Parent (Teens today)
  • Winning Cooperation
  • Responsibility & Discipline
  • Building Courage, Character & Self-Esteem
  • Preventing Drug Use & other risky behavior
