On October 21, DEA exercised its emergency scheduling authority to control three synthetic stimulants (Mephedrone, 3,4 methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV) and Methylone) used to make products marketed as “bath salts” and “plant food”. Except as authorized by law, this action makes possessing and selling these chemicals, or the products that contain them illegal in the United States. The Final Order to alert the public to this action was published in the Federal Register. These chemicals will be controlled for at least one year, with the possibility of a six month extension.

After doing a Google search, I found that a lot of people knew about infusing gummy bears with alcohol and not only did I see hundreds of references to this, but also recipes, how to videos and how to serve the gummy bears. This is just the latest in a long list of ways that kids, teens and young adults use alcohol and as a parent it's frightening.
