SACE is proud to be designated as one of Mercy Care’s 2023 Autism Spectrum Disorder Centers of Excellence.

Southwest Autism Center of Excellence (SACE) is a collaborative effort of Southwest Behavioral Health Services and Southwest Human Development with funding provided by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care (MMIC).

Southwest Autism Center of Excellence (SACE) is a Program of Southwest Behavioral and Health Services, a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that began providing autism specific support in 2017. SACE provides an array of services for the Autistic Population in Maricopa County which include: psychiatric services, diagnostics, medication management, group services for the whole family, focused ABA, consultation services, individual and family therapy, court ordered treatment, residential services, semi-supported housing, day treatment programs, and community based social groups.

smiling teensS.A.C.E. philosophy of serving Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) members throughout their life span promotes high quality services that are tailored to each member and family – delivering services in the most appropriate setting, in a timely fashion and in accordance with best practices, while respecting the member and family’s cultural heritage. Individualized treatment plans are developed for each individual and their family, adapted to their particular strengths, needs, and goals. SACE staff collaborates with medical, developmental and mental health professionals.
