Now, anyone can anonymously report illegal prescription drug activity by entering TIP411 (847411) and the keyword TipRx in the text field followed by your message. By continuing our efforts to dispose of unneeded medications and now, helping to reduce illicit activity, we are making extraordinary progress to address the prescription drug epidemic in our communities. Doug Coleman, Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix DEA office says “the non-medical use of prescription opioids has greatly contributed to the sharp increase in heroin trafficking and use.” The DEA is sending educational information about the new Tip-Line to more than 1200 pharmacies in Arizona.
